Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the US. In the TV and film business, she is famous for her numerous awards and nominations. Bassett was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt who lived in New York New York. Her mother split with her father at around five. She and her younger sister later went to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in high school, and realised that acting is what she wanted to do. Yale University New Haven Connecticut, where she received her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). She dated Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Graduate of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School.
